Voice Teacher
I have run my own voice studio since 2014 teaching beginners and experienced students, with my students gaining places at top drama schools and working in industry. I also adjudicate at arts festivals, and sit on drama school audition panels.
I currently run the Exeter & Torquay branches of the Sing Space Musical Theatre Choir.where I MD both choirs and enjoy writing my own arrangements, I have conducted my own arrangement at Cadogan Hall with the choirs, as well as working with artists such as Gareht Malone and taking part in local performances across the county.
I have run my own voice studio since 2014 teaching beginners and experienced students, with my students gaining places at top drama schools and working in industry.
In 2021 I undertook singing teacher training with The Vocal Process, and qualified in Vocal Health First Aid with Vocal Health Education. I am also part of a select group of vocal coaches recommended by The Sing Space. I've also enjoyed courses with Tori Burnhay (Accent Method) and Kerri Obert (Vocal Pedagogy Level 4) in addition to studying with internationally renowned voice teacher Kim Chandler.
I was Associate Lecturer (Voice) at Oxford Brookes University, where I prepared first and second and third year undergraduates for their final recitals from 2020 - 2024.
Community Musician
I have run and worked for a number of projects in the South West, including the The OCRA Music Project, CEDA & Turning Tides. I have always felt strongly that music and the arts should be accessible to all people regardless of background.
I also have two years experience working for the NHS as a Technical Instructor within forensic mental health. I used singing, guitar, Irish harp, songwriting and other music sessions to improve mental health and wellbeing as a part of my patients recovery pathway.
In addition to being a singer and voice teacher, I have good piano, guitar, Irish harp and ukulele skills, which I use within my teaching for accompaniment, or for songwriting and recording sessions in my home studio.
